With teachers and students around the country working together to create music opportunities for ALL, United Sound is a GIANT volunteer organization. In the 2019-20 school year, our volunteers logged over 56,000 service hours!
United Sound is a peer mentoring program, so the actual music teaching is done by volunteer students and their teachers.

Spokesperson
This opportunity is open only to current and former United Sound New Musicians. If you've had a great experience, we'd love to have your help in telling our story.
Fundraising committee
United Sound is growing fast! We're looking for a few people to come together and help us create some unique fundraising. No special skills required- just your enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to help!
graphic design
Have a great eye? Want to put your graphic design skills to use? We're looking for someone to take the information from materials we already have and make them LOOK GREAT.
Parent advocates
We've experienced amazing growth in the last two years. If you're a parent of a Peer Mentor or New Musician, we'd like to connect with you twice per year in an online forum to discuss where we've been and where we're going. Your perspective is invaluable.
Curriculum layout
You don't have to know anything about music for this one. We're ready to roll out our United Sound Method Book 2, but the layout for food-based, color-coded, spacial notation is a giant computer art project. If you're detail oriented and know your way around your own Mac (sorry PC friends), we'd love to have your help!
